Aubrey Organics
November 24, 2008
Aubrey Organics was the first company in the US to manufacture 100% natural cosmetic and body care products.
History
Aubrey Hampton grew up Indiana and was introduced to the healing powers of herbs and plants from a young age; his Father was a farmer and his Mother a herbalist.
He went to work for Faberge in NYC as a chemist, but over time became concerned about the use of petrochemicals and other synthetic ingredients in their products. One day, he went to the owner of the company to share his concerns about the effects of these ingredients on peoples health. He was given a cheque for $30, fired and told to start his own company. So he left Faberge and started to experiment with his own natural formulas: the first being a herbal bath oil and a protein based conditioner.
In 1969 Aubrey Hampton set up ‘Aubrey Natural Labs’ which later became Aubrey Organics – the first company the US to manufacture 100% natural cosmetic and body care products. His aim was to create products free from synthetics, petrochemicals and other synthetic chemicals and above all, be good for the body and the earth.
By sticking to these values, Aubrey Organics has become one of the best known and most respected natural body care companies in the world.
Company philosophy: Why use something synthetic when something natural works so much better?
