A natural , non-toxic, paraben and heavy-metal free mascara from Lavera that is ideal for sensitive eyes.
I love Lavera’s brown Mascara because it looks so natural. I can easily apply a couple of coats without it looking like I am wearing a pair of false eyelashes and leaves my lashes so soft it feels like I am not wearing any mascara.
Lavera mascara also smells great. I have found that alot of mascaras have a bit of a chemical pong which gets stronger the one longer they are open. The shelf life of this product is very good. The use by date on my tube is 09/2010, which is a long way away and it will have been used up long before then!
Although this mascara is fragrance free, it has a very delicate scent of roses (contains rose water) which didn’t irritate my eyes.
The wand is a fairly standard shape, which made my eyelashes look a bit thicker. If you are searching for a natural looking mascara and are not too worried about uber volume, then this is an excellent product, otherwise you could be a little disappointed.
The only thing I would say is that it can get a little smudgey during the day. I’ve never had panda eyes, but it doesn’t always look as tidy as when I first put it on in the morning. However, this does it make it very easy to remove at the end of the day. I like to remove my mascara with almond oil and can happily report that it takes it off with very minimal effort. It also washes off easily with water – great for low effort but not so great for rainy days.
I thought I would have to pay alot of money for a natural mascara but this one is great value. It costs around £9 depending on where you buy it, so it is cheaper than or in line with most high street brands.
Summary
- Pros: Looks and feels very natural, easy to remove
- Cons: Can get slightly smudgy towards the end of the day
