Neals Yard Orange & Honey Scrub

June 3, 2008

I bought a 75g tub of Neals Yard Orange & Honey Scrub wondering if it would be big enough and it’s lasted me for a very long time.

Not only does this product work brilliantly, it also smells good enough to eat! The scrub contains pieces of ground rice as the exfoliating ingredient which were the right size for me to use on my face as well as the rest of my body. The grains are large but fairly soft so I only needed to apply very gentle pressure to feel them working on my face. With alot of exfoliants, I have found that my face feels very tight afterwards but didn’t experience that with this one.

It contains kaolin clays which makes it both a rich and pampering product to use. There are very few ingredients and therefore the strongest scents are oranges and honey which make it smell quite sweet but without being sickly.

The directions say to mix it with a bit of water in the palm of your hand before use. It’s best to take the product out (as it’s a jar not a squeezy tube) with dry hands, otherwise a moisture can build up in the bottom of the jar. I think a certain amount of this probably comes from the product itself but I found it helps it to preserve it if lots of excess moisture is tipped away.

This product always leaves my skin feeling soft and smelling delicious!

Neals Yard take the empty jars back to be recycled and give you 10p for each one you return.
