I discovered this product at a street market on 8th Avenue in New York and was spoilt for choice!
I bought the mango soap to use on my face because the label said it was moisturising. I thought would be ideal for my very sensitive skin but left the skin on my face feeling a little dry and tight afterwards. I decided to use it as hand soap instead and I had no dryness, it was very moisturising and left my hands super soft.
This soap has a beautiful scent. Their face and body bars are available in lots of other scents including: banana, dark chocolate, pure shea, healing clay, papaya, sandalwood, cucumber, pumpkin, sea kelp and seaweed lime. I’ve had this bar for quite a while now and the scent hasn’t faded like some bars of soaps I’ve had.
The texture of the soap was fairly soft, but didn’t go soft and gooey in my soap dish (it must have been hardy to survive a turbulent 7 hour flight back to London in my suitcase). It produced a nice amount of bubbly lather when used and left my hands smelling lovely. I love the fact that each bar has corrugated edges because it makes them look very handmade and natural.
If you live in the UK you can order them from the Splash Organics website. If you are US based you buy their soaps from craft fairs and markets as well as the online store.
Overall a fabulous product. Slightly drying on my face, but very moisturising on my hands.
Summary
- Pros: Smells beautiful, retains it’s scent
- Cons: Slightly drying on my face
Ingredients
Certified organic oils of palm, coconut, olive, and grape seed, cocoa and shea butter, mango pulp, mica (natural pigment) and essential oil blends.

Splash! Organics seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. I bought their soaps this past summer at a street fair in NYC. Now that its winter, there are no more street fairs. I’m trying to buy some more soap but their website appears to have been taken down. Help if you can. Thanks.

I’m also in search of Splash! I have stocked up on soaps at the Bryant Park Holiday shops the past 2 years, and now I don’t see them listed as a vendor. And the website does seem to have disappeared. Anybody know anything??

I went to their website – down as you say. I emailed them using the link and heard nothing back. So I’m assuming they’ve gone :( Shame because their soap was lovely!

I am also looking for Splash! I just bought soaps for the first time in October and became hooked! I even called the number on the card she gave me and it has been disconnected. What a shame! If anyone finds anything out please post!

Hi everyone! I’ve found that Splash Organics is now Hickory Ridge organics. I’ve added a link at the top of this review to a blog post explaining why this change has taken place.

Wow! Thank you Gemma for finding the NEW Splash Organics! I’ve been wondering how I would survive without their soaps, esp. this freezing & dried-out winter. Looking forward to the grand opening of Hickory Ridge.

I have been in love with Splash Organics since the street fair on the 4th of july 2009. I have made it my business to find her at every street fair I go to. Since the winter I haven’t been able to find her, and I am in desperate need of some chocolate soap. The website I had for her doesn’t seem to be working now. I am happy to see someone else has seen and felt her talent. Please keep me informed with her website info and the next fair she will be. My skin needs her….

I know it’s been a few months, but if you haven’t found her yet, the new store is in St. Augustine, FL. A lovely little shop that I have become completely addicted to. I’ve talked to the owner on the occassions I’ve been there, they’re continuing to work on the website so be patient. I love your comments though, her soaps are wonderful!
