Weleda Almond Cleansing Lotion
June 3, 2008
A rich and creamy almond based cleanser ideal for people with very dry or sensitive skin.
- Fragrance free
- Suitable for vegans
I bought this product because Weleda say it is a good product for people with dry or sensitive skin.
The texture of this cleanser is very rich and creamy – much thicker than Weleda’s Iris Cleanser which is also labelled as a lotion. On one hand I like this product because it is so gentle and doesn’t leave my face feeling at all stripped. On the other hand, it is a bit too rich and I feel like I am just pushing the cleanser around my face. The texture is in some ways more like a face cream than a facial cleanser.
I think this is great for people with very dry skin but for me it didn’t feel like it was removing much – and I’m not really a makeup wearer.
The scent is very neutral, in fact it barely smells of anything at all, just ‘creamy’. There is a very subtle smell of almonds which disappears very quickly after it has been applied. I have used this around my eye area with no skin reaction and it therefore makes a great eye make-up remover.
I found this tube didn’t last me for very long and I think this could be because it’s quite a thick product and therefore used more.
- Pros: Great gentle cleanser for very dry or sensitive skin
- Cons: The tube didn’t last for very long and I didn’t feel like it removed much
